There is no single winner here — it depends on your route, your luggage, the time and how many of you are travelling. Here is how the three options stack up.
Price
- Train is usually cheapest for one or two people travelling light, especially with an advance ticket. Express airport services (Heathrow Express, Gatwick Express, Stansted Express) are faster but cost more than regular rail.
